House Rules

...or as we prefer to call it a Good Guest Guide, designed to help you navigate your stay at the apartment, keep neighbours happy and keep everyone, including host, smiling at the end.
As there are no universal guidelines to the world of home surfing, we wanted to create a comprehensive etiquette that, we hope, helps our guests coming from different parts of the world, backgrounds, cultures and customs, have a mutually good and positive experience:

1. PRE-ARRIVAL HOTEL STYLE GUEST VERIFICATION:
Please note, our homes are protected by Superhog, a leading European short let insurer.
Unlike hotels we have no way of checking identity of our guests on arrival, so once booked, we will ask you to e-verify your details via their Know Your Guest form before arrival. You will receive a link in a welcome message.

You will be able to add an OPTIONAL £35 damage waiver, which protects you from AirCover (Airbnb) or Deposit (VRBO) claim for accidental damage up to £500.
This does not cover malicious damage, damage caused by breaking house rules.
Please do not pay a deposit unless you are booking with us directly via our booking channel.

PRIVACY AND GDPR: All information is for check in purposes only and strictly confidential. We do not hold any ID information on our channel manager. All info is shown only to Superhog insurer and they adhere to GDPR rules and will dispose of any data held accordingly with the GDPR regulations.


AIRBNB GUESTS: Please have a clear profile picture (Airbnb).
VRBO & BOOKING COM - please send us a picture via Guest Arrival Form.


3rd PARTY BOOKINGS are not allowed on Airbnb. Main guest must be present on arrival. If main guest is not present, e.g. due to flight delay, sickness, etc., we will let co-guests check in, providing they have been added to the Airbnb reservation and are verified on Airbnb.
We can make an exception for family bookings. e.g. children booking for parents, but the main guest must be present on check in and at least one parent added to the booking.

2. MAKE THE ARRIVAL A SMOOTH ONE - Please be contactable when you arrive in the UK and ensure you have your App on the phone to access Check In guide. Tip! Take screenshots before you travel in case you have issues with your data on arrival.

3. LET’S SPREAD LOVE NOT GERMS - Please take off your shoes before you enter the flat and leave shoes inside next to the door.

4. SAVE THE PLANET - RECYCLE: The planet is drowning under plastic waste. So if you love our city and want to enjoy it for many years to come, please recycle. We provide everything for you to make recycling easy - further info on the living room board and House Brochure on the table.

5. SAVE THE ENERGY: When leaving switch off all lights in the flat and ensure that the heating is turned down to about 19 degrees Celsius.

6. BE KIND TO NEIGHBOURS: Don't cause noise especially during quiet hours and only leave rubbish in outdoor bin no 2. Also if you are staying with children please ask them not to run and jump too much as this can be very hard on neighbours downstairs. Thank you very much.

7. KEEP OUR HOME AND YOUR BELONGINGS SAFE:
- Never leave keysafe unlocked even when empty as this leaves code exposed;
- Always close the flat and the building door firmly.

8. YOUR HOME IS FOR YOU ONLY - No extra overnight guests or unless agreed with hosts in advance and absolutely no parties. If you want to have friends for lunch or dinner, please let us know in advance.

9. HONESTY IS KING: If you damage something please let us know. We are always reasonable. Please also do not take our chargers or anything that belongs to the flat. Next guests will need those things too.

10. HELP US TO HELP YOU: If something on your arrival is not working in the flat, or some essentials missing, please don’t wait till you depart, but let us know asap so we can rectify it immediately and make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

11. RESPECT OUR HOUSEKEEPING STAFF:
If you arrive before check in time and cleaners are still inside, please just drop the luggage off. Ask housekeeper where and leave to let them finish the job.

12. PET RULES:
1. Only small non-shedding house trained dogs permitted. No cats, creepy crawlies, reptiles or basically anything that would consider us as lunch.
2. Please do not let the dog sit on the sofa or bed, etc. without pet blanket.
3. Please bring your own dog bed and poo bags.
4. Please wipe your dog’s paws by the entrance. There is always either a wipe or paper towels close to the door.

★ STANDARD CHECKOUT - At 11am

★ EARLY CHECKOUT - before 11am, please confirm your departure time in the Guest Arrival Form, as we need to re-arrange housekeeping and / or keys return.
Please advise us as soon as possible if your checkout time changes from that advised in the Guest Form.

★ LATE CHECK OUTS - Subject to availability and charge at £17 per hr after 11am.

★ LUGGAGE STORAGE ON DEPARTURE - You can leave your luggage up until the cleaner finishes and no later than 13:30 unless other timing arranged with us in Guest Arrival Form.
Please note we cannot allow entry to property once cleaning and disinfection are completed.
Alternatively we recommend Nannybag or Luggage Hero with locations near stations all over London. We will send you the link to nearest one, once you book.

A foldable child crib, complete with mattress, mattress protector and fitted sheet. Please bring your own baby linens.

★ PLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT OWN THE BUILDING - We can only take responsibility for what happens in our flat. We will do our best to alert building management to any issues to do with neighbours or communal areas, that we do not control.

★ ACCESSIBILITY: Please note step free access to the front door and then 2 flights of steps (approx. 18 steps) to the flat on 1st floor (US 2nd).

★ DOGS - Max 1 dog per stay. We only accept small hypoallergenic dog breeds. Dogs but must be house trained and owners have to bring bowls, poo bags, blanket, dog bed. Pet fee applies @ £79 per stay.

Flat is accessible 24/7 using keysafe but please be considerate of neighbours when arriving after 22:00.
Details in check in guide on the app released 24 hrs before arrival.

We will be available to answer any questions before, during and after your stay.
We generally respond immediately from 9am till 21:00 GMT every day, but please bear with us a bit during working day or Sundays.
For emergencies please send us a Whats App outside those hours or press Doorbell on entry camera doorbell and we will do our best to help.
Neighborhood overview
Shepherd's Bush, or She Bu (read: chez bu) as we locals call it in a posh voice is a vibrant, up and coming, multi-cultural neighbourhood in zone 2, walking distance from Holland Park and only 2 stops to Notting Hill.
Nearest tubes:
Shepherds Bush Market - Hammersmith & City and Circle Line - 5mins
Shepherds Bush Station - Central Line and Overland - 12mins walk

What SheBu lacks in manicured stucco fronted houses of Holland Park, it makes up for with culinary gems and craft beer bars all along Goldhawk Rd and Uxbridge Rd.
We are also home to Soho House White City (biggest in London) and newly opened Hoxton Hotel on the Green.

We also have the biggest shopping centre in Europe - Westfield London with 12-screen cinema, restaurant avenue featuring every cuisine on earth, street food court on the 1st floor and annual ice rink that opens before Christmas until 2nd week of January.
For kids there is Kidzania in Westfield and for fitness fanatics Gym Box atop of the centre and Fitness First along Hammersmith Grove.

It is also a home to 2 important music venues, O2 Empire and Bush Hall - both historic stunning Victorian concert halls, that have seen the likes of Beyonce, LMFAO and Katy Perry gracing their stages.

The Bush is one of the best connected neighbourhoods in West London with all London airports within an easy reach by public transport and a short ride by tube to all of London's key tourist attractions, such as Oxford Circus, Houses of Parliament, Harrods, Buckingham Palace.
Famous double decker round London hop-on-hop-off buses stop just across Shepherds Bush Roundabout on Holland Park Avenue.

For fashion aficionados check out Goldhawk Road, famous for countless fabric shops, where you can often score last year's Chanel, Dior and other amazing designer fabrics for a fraction of a price.
The area is also well served by several supermarkets and unique deli shops selling authentic foods and spices from around the world. There are 2 multi-screen cinemas and 2 gyms.

Olympia Exhibition Centre is 1 stop on Overground from Shepherds Bush Market

I have lived in this neighbourhood since 2008 and love how it has transformed into this exciting new and happening area, I truly hope you enjoy my neighbourhood like I do:).
The neighbourhood is safe, with the Police station 5 minutes away and the main road is always full of people.

Getting around
★ PUBLIC TRANSPORT★
SHEPHERDS BUSH MARKET (Hammersmith & City Line / Circle) tube station is a 5min walk away - Zone 2. Approx. 6mins walk
For station with a lift use WOOD LANE.
SHEPHERDS BUSH (Central & Overground lines) - approx. 12mins walk.

Cheapest way to travel by tube is using OYSTER CARD, either by topping up or buying a day travel card. Get it from the 1st tube station you come to as you leave the airport. Please make sure that you claim your deposit back when you return it upon leaving.

ACCESSIBILITY - PLEASE NOTE THE FLAT IS NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.
The flat is on the 1st floor UK (US 2nd with 2 flights of stairs leading to the flat).
Inside, master bedroom is 4 steps down from the rest of the flat.

1. FROM HEATHROW:
Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith, walk across to Hammersmith & City Line to Shepherds Bush Market or Wood Lane (station with a lift)

2. FROM LUTON:
Take the train to Farringdon, walk across the platform to take Hammersmith & City Line to Shepherds Bush Market

3. FROM GATWICK - 2 options:
A. Take Southern Trains to Clapham Junction. Change there for Overland train to Stratford and get off at Shepherds Bush. - approx. 1hr
OR
B. Take Gatwick Express to Victoria, change for Victoria Line underground to Oxford Circus, change at Oxford Circus for Central Line westbound towards Uxbridge. Get off at Shepherds Bush Central Line station.

4. FROM STANSTED: Take Stansted Express to Liverpool Street (approx. 45mins every 15mins), change for Central Line westbound to Shepherds Bush.

5. FROM EUROSTAR (ST. PANCRAS Intl)
Walk to King's Cross Underground station.
Take Circle line or Hammersmith & City line from here to Shepherd's Bush Market, or continue to Wood Lane station with lift access

★ TRAVEL BY CAR & PARKING ★:
Enter Devonport Rd from Uxbridge Road End. Set your GPS for Bush Hall and you can't miss the street. Its directly opposite.

ON STREET PARKING:

Option 2 - for weekend stays: after unpacking move your car to zone J, nearest is Loftus Rd or the other end Devonport Rd across partition, accessible from Goldhawk Rd. There parking is free from 5pm - 8:30am, free on Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays.
